Title   Innovative teaching materials in Science and Mathematics

Description     The outputs which will be implemented are:
1. Development of a European database containing Best Practices,
2. Implementation of a dedicated international website.
3. Re-/definition of competence standards according to learning outcomes; adaptation or development of VET curricula and courses accordingly also of accompanying learning material and tools;
4. VET learning and teaching methodologies and pedagogical approaches especially those delivering key competences; focusing on the use of ICT;
5. Open on line courses, accessible and open to anyone who is interested in updating their professional skills in Maths and Science, without time or sex limitations.
The international web portal will be the principal means through which the greatest number of users can be reached both during and at the end of the project: for this reason, there will be a regular updating both of the website and of the collaborative platform.
Regular online teacher training courses in the scientific subjects will be activated not only in the countries of the partnership, but open to all people interested in the subjects. They will be directed both to in-service teachers and to initial teachers.

Title   Updating of the competences of teachers in Mathematics and Science

Description   Identification of the competences that the teachers have to acquirire and definition of the strategies for their acquisition
Tasks and role of each organisation
The four partner universities will implement the courses; the University of Turin will distribute them on line openly and freely.
The Italian Ministry of Education will carry out an assessment of the congruence between the fruition of these courses and the normatives that regulate the fruition of them (Regulations on the respect of privacy and norms on intellectual property). They will also take part in the implementation of the on line courses.
The “Carlo Anti” School will take part in the planning by making use of the school’s resources in terms of professional competences of the teachers involved in the project.
RISORSE IN CRESCITA, on the basis of their experience in the definition of Italy’s present socio-economic situation and of the consequent employability possibilities, could offer its contribution to the definition of which competences can be used to improve employment.
